The Marriott Harrison Corporate team delivers experienced, insightful and practical advice across the full complement of domestic and cross-border corporate advisory, financing and structuring transactions for entrepreneurs, private and public companies and their related investors and advisers.
Above all, our Corporate team is an enabler and facilitator for our clients’ ambition. That means proactively connecting our clients with the capital they need and, in turn, helping them to drive their success and build commercial value. Whether funding investment through equity or debt, enhancing or releasing capital through M&A and buyouts or preserving capital through reorganisations and restructurings, we act as the bridge between our clients’ ambition and their success.
We support our clients making strategic purchases and investments as well as those growing organically, giving them the help that dynamic organisations need to protect and unlock their commercial potential. Our Business Restructuring team is integrated within the Corporate team to provide pragmatic and time-critical guidance if investments don’t proceed as everyone hopes at the outset or, equally, where opportunistic distressed purchases are being made.
We combine a pragmatic and positive attitude with advice delivered in a responsive and user- friendly fashion. Clients praise our ability to bring experience and insight to help protect their interests, focus on their immediate commercial needs and implement their longer-term strategies.
In 2020 we acted on 95 corporate transactions. Individually, these ranged from start-ups raising less than £0.1m to exits priced in excess of £200m. In aggregate, the transaction values exceeded £1 billion and the pre-money enterprise valuations exceeded £7 billion. Well over one third of these transactions had an international element.
Our Corporate team is ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for its work in M&A and Venture Capital, with Chambers and Partners listing Marriott Harrison as one of the top 10 firms in London for M&A deals up to £50m and in the top 10 in the UK for its work in Venture Capital.
