Wednesday 15th March, 2023

Having invested in the affordable luxury brand in 2010, Beringea sold its stake in Monica Vinader to Bridgepoint. Piper and Winona Capital will also sell their stakes to Bridgepoint.

Beringea invested in Monica Vinader two years after its launch and has worked alongside the brand to scale it into an international success story. Sales for Monica Vinader have quadrupled to c. £100m since 2016, driven by a market-leading omni-channel platform and growing presence in the US and China. The customer-centric brand is digitally led with a strong online presence, complemented by 19 international stores, concessions, and a partner network.

Beringea is a transatlantic venture capital firm which invests in scaling companies. Focusing on Series A and Series B rounds, Beringea adds value through strategic connections, transatlantic growth, and the Beringea Scale-Up Academy.

Bridgepoint is one of the world’s leading quoted private asset growth investors, specialising in private equity and private debt. Its new fund, Bridgepoint Development Capital IV (BDC IV), is focused on mid-market growth businesses.

David Strong and Bradley Heath advised Beringea on this latest transaction, having worked with the firm on several investments over recent months.

Congratulations to everyone involved.
