Marriott Harrison has advised Northzone and Lightspeed Venture Partners on a $20m million Series A funding round in Heygo, the virtual travel platform. The round was led by Northzone, with additional participation from Point 9, TQ Ventures, Ascension and a series of high profile angels.
Heygo allows people to travel virtually, using live tours of cities and attractions, and other activities, streamed onto your screen from tour guides/hosts in more than 90 countries. Since setting up the business they’ve passed 2 million tour bookings and have received nearly 250,000 five star reviews. The investment will allow Heygo to invest in its platform and community, and develop new features.
