Tuesday 31st March, 2015

Corporate partners Jonathan Leigh-Hunt and Duncan Innes, led the MH team in advising International Schools Partnership on its investment in CIS and Temple Cambridge Limited (being the property vehicle), which completed in February 2015.

CIS is a school made up of pupils and staff from all over the world and counts as the only international school in Cambridge. CIS provides education for children aged from 3-16 years of age. There are over 300 students from over 30 countries, speaking 27 different languages, providing a truly diverse learning environment. The founders, Harriet Sturdy and Daniel Sturdy, will remain with the school following ISP’s investment.

Headquartered in London, ISP has been founded on the principle of inspiring world class learning by investing significant resources in the schools they partner with to the direct benefit of the pupils who attend them.

This acquisition is ISP’s second acquisition since acquiring a group of private schools in Spain in June 2014 backed by Permotio International Learning S.a r.l, taking ISP’s portfolio to eight international schools and around 6,000 pupils and strengthening ISP’s position in the highly competitive international schools sector.

Jonathan Leigh-Hunt and Duncan Innes were assisted by Marina Ehrlich (Corporate Associate) and Simon Orriss (Corporate Associate), Mark Lavers (Property Partner) and Abbey Wiggett (Property Associate), Bob Cordran (Employment Partner) and Sive Ozer (Employment Trainee), and Oliver Bett (Media/IT Associate).
