The Litigation department is well versed in company law and practice and in the disputes and applications that can arise from it. In addition to acting on referrals from major City firms, the Litigation department works closely with the firm's corporate lawyers on disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, private equity, flotations, joint ventures, group reorganisations and insolvency.

Shareholder disputes and disputes between companies and errant directors arise frequently, involving both private and public companies. Similar matters are also handled involving professional partnerships and joint ventures.

Another major area of corporate dispute is warranty claims arising out of company acquisitions and other transactions.
