Corporate partner Jonathan Leigh-Hunt led the MH team in advising leading television equipment specialist and broadcast hire facilities business Procam on its acquisition of film lens company, True Lens Services.
The acquisition is Procam’s second acquisition since the MBO in May 2013, which MH also advised on, backed by NatWest, RBS Invoice Finance and venture capital fund Foresight.
Headquartered in London, with additional facilities in Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Procam has been providing camera equipment and crew to many of the biggest broadcasters, production companies and blue chip organisations throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years.
True Lens is a well-established company run by founders, Colin Sanders and Keith Truslove, who will remain with the company under its new ownership. True Lens has provided lenses to a number of blockbuster films including the recent Oscar-hopeful “Mr Turner” and the popular Jason Bourne film series.
This acquisition gives Procam, backed again by Foresight and NatWest, access to the film industry and strengthens its position in the broadcasting market, to help achieve its aim to expand sales by £20 million within three years.
Jonathan Leigh-Hunt was assisted by Fran Spooner (Corporate Associate) and Sive Ozer (Corporate Trainee), Mark Lavers (Property Partner) and Abbey Wiggett (Property Associate), Bob Cordran (Employment Partner) and Oliver Bett (Media/IT Associate).
