The firm is delighted to announce the addition of Aonghus Martin to its Media and Technology team.
Aonghus has joined from Research In Motion (BlackBerry) where he acted as in-house counsel working on various agreements in relation to RIM’s hardware and software and advising on regulatory issues facing RIM as a network provider.
Previously, Aonghus was a member of Eversheds’ and Pinsent Masons’ commercial/technology teams. Aonghus specialises in non-contentious commercial/technology agreements and advises on intellectual property, e-commerce, data protection and other regulatory matters. Aonghus said: “I am excited to be joining a firm with such a long history and strong reputation in the media and technology field.” Tony Morris, head of the Commercial and Media team, said: “We are delighted that Aonghus has joined the team as the demands of our clients in the Tech sector are becoming increasingly complex. Aonghus’ background and experience will add considerably to the firm’s ability to service not only those Tech clients but also those engaging with technology providers and who are using technology throughout their business.”
